How do I transfer a domain name to you?

Domain transfers are one of the simplest things to do on the web.  Follow the steps below and you will find domain transfers are easy and certainly not as complicated as some people may have you believe.

Non-UK domains require an EPP code.

Go here:  Shopping Cart Section For Transferring a Domain to us

Enter your domain.  If the domain requires it, an EPP code will be requested.  If you don't have the EPP code, you MUST contact the current registration company to obtain it.  A domain cannot be transferred without this authority code.

Complete the process and checkout.  You can add any hosting etc you require to the domain, (if required) during the checkout process.

Finally, ensure that the domain is 'UNLOCKED for TRANSFER' at the current registration company and that the Administrative Contact of the domain can receive emails.

Once you've completed the above, WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

The US registrar will then:
1) Contact the administrative contact of the domain via email to verify that they approve of the transfer.  Once verified.....they
2) Check the domain is unlocked for transfer and move it across to your account with us for management.
3) We confirm the transfer via email to you.

If any of the above fails, the transfer will fail and you will receive an email from us telling you why.  As always though, if you need help.....let us know.  That's why we're here.

Transferring a UK domain is even simpler.

Go here:  Shopping Cart Section For Transferring a Domain to us

Complete the checkout process.  You will then receive an email asking you to change the IPS TAG of your domain to our tag.

That's it.  Within approximately 24 hours (at most)* your domain will be with GodsWeb and in your account ready for you to manage.  We will then confirm the transfer to you via email.

Note: Do not change the tag BEFORE you have placed the order or it will be rejected.

Should you have any questions about the process before or during, don't hesitate to ask. We're only too happy to help.

*It shouldn't take any longer than this in normal circumstances, however, any delays will be due to the registrar you are leaving delaying in processing the tag change.
