On your order form you have 2 different types of domain transfer, what is the difference and which should I choose?

You will see these 3 options on the first page of our shopping cart system.

1. Register New Domain.

2. Transfer My Existing Domain.

3. I will use My Existing Domain and update My Nameservers only
.

The first one, 'Register New Domain' is self explanatory.

The second and third are similar, but yet are totally different.

2. Transfer My Existing Domain
You own a domain and have registered it with another company. You no longer wish that company to manage your domain and wish GodsWeb to manage it for you. ie, you will want us to manage the nameservers and technical aspects of your domain. We will also send you renewal notices/invoices and take care of the domains registration with the relevant registrar authorities.

3. I will use My Existing Domain and update My Namerservers only
You own a domain and have registered it already with GodsWeb or another company.

Once your hosting account is 'live' and you have received your welcome email, it will have details of the nameservers you will need to apply to your domain. Contact your hosting company (which may be GodsWeb) and request that they set the nameservers to those listed in your welcome email.*

The company you registered the domain with will continue to send you renewal notices/invoices and take care of the domains registration with the relevant registrar authorities.

All you have to do to enjoy the benefits of the GodsWeb hosting packages, is to change the namesevers of your domain to ours. (These are sent to you in your welcome email).
